This is my first week trying out a new format for Follow Friday. I figure a short post would let me talk more at length about new people I’m following.

My new gig is with @munera, a startup out of Portola Valley. We’re working on a series of fun social apps for the iPhone coming out this summer. The company already has an app out on the app store, Send a Prayer[iTunes link] which allows users to send prayers to the Western Wall in Jerusalem.

As usual, Apple's developer site is a smoldering crater after the keynote.

Today’s iPhone OS 3.0 announcement was tremendous as both a developer and a user. Of all the announced features, I am most excited about the ability to access new hardware through the dock connector. I can’t wait to see what people do with it.

As an owner of an original phone, however, I’m wondering how much is going to be cut out for the 1st gen devices. So far I know about MMS and A2DP, I’ll have to get my hands on the new OS to see for myself.

• It’s been two months since I’ve left Google. It is not hard to miss the place but people are noticing that I look a lot better these days, if a bit chubbier. In the meanwhile, I’ve gone to Burning Man and went to San Diego for a bit.
• Trying to start your own thing is hard, but I’m still passionate about creating a creative workplace of my very own.
• There’s a fellah in my life. His name is Maat, and he’s flipping awesome. I’ve already met his parents! We even play WoW together – mostly on the Proudmoore realm.
• Volunteering with No on 8 here in California. In terms of politics it’s about as important to me as the Obama campaign. It’s the first time I’ve really gotten involved in politics and it’s been really refreshing and rewarding.  
• Looks like I’m moving again! We haven’t even really managed to have a housewarming and it looks like Frances and I are splitsville, as roomates that is. Blame it on crappy landlords, needing to be closer to the city, and the stars that shine at night.
